The villages of Saillon and Ovronnaz are preparing to welcome the 6th World Masters Athletics Championships Mountain Running  on Saturday September 23rd, 2006.

The World Mountain Running Association (WMRA) and the World Masters Association (WMA) have chosen the Running Club des deux Rives for the organisation of this trial. This Masters World Championship is open to male and female runners of minimum 35 years of age, with or without licence, born on or before September 23rd, 1971.

The race disputes primarily in rise. The course of 7,9 and 9,5 km borrows the line of the traditional Course des 2 Bains which furrows the vineyards in terraces, then crosses the footbridge of Farinet, for then taking small forest paths until the arrival at the stadium of Ovronnaz.
